Sydney’s least excusive club night, Solid Gold Hell, is on again this Saturday night at the Sly Fox, Enmore from 9pm.
Offering rock fans a place to dance stupidly to the likes of Turbonegro til 3am, Solid Gold Hell this week will feature a celebrity DJ spot by the lovely Angelica Von Helle and the horrible Danger Coolidge from UNBELIEVABLY Bad!
Expect to hear plenty of Jay Reatard.
Also spinning tunes will be Mo Mayhem (Hell City Glamours), Selbells, Demonika and Cutthroat.
Bands you might hear played on the night include: The Mummies, Lubricated Goat, Slade, Lime Spiders, The 5,6,7,8s, God, Servotron, Rose Tattoo, Exploding White Mice, The Collins Kids, Butthole Surfers, King Khan & BBQ, Nervous Eaters, Fun Things, Wall Of Voodoo, Obits, Easybeats… you get the gist.
No cover charge required, so poverty is not a viable excuse for not turning up. Neither is staying home to catch all the quality programming on the Go! channel.

Didn’t see ya there – did Go! have a Get Smart marathon?!
Some of the highlights you missed included Danger dancing badly, the delicious and slightly intoxicating ‘Hell Pussy Galore’ cocktail, and the chance to (re)connect with your inner bogan to the sound of The Radiators.

shame on me – I had planned to come down but was way too pissed after the heatwave flavoured BBQ we had in the afternoon – oh well, maybe next time
